Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cabinet finishing and a strong understanding of various woodworking techniques. This role involves preparing, finishing, and assembling cabinets to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. The Cabinet Finisher will work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality products within deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and applying primer as needed.
- Apply stains, paints, or finishes to cabinets using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Assemble cabinet components according to schematics and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure proper fit and finish of cabinets on-site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Operate power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood materials.
- Assist in drywall installation, flooring installation, siding work, and other maintenance person tasks as required.
- Handle heavy lifting of materials and finished products as necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in cabinet finishing or related woodworking fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with drywall installation, flooring installation, siding, and general maintenance person skills is a plus.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for assembly purposes.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during the workday.
