Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all meat products are cut, packaged, and presented according to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Perform meat cutting tasks with precision, including trimming, deboning, and portioning various types of meat.
- Ensure all meat products are packaged appropriately for display and sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area to adhere to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Follow all food handling guidelines to ensure the safety and quality of all products.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Stay informed about new cuts of meat and industry trends to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in meat cutting or as a butcher is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
