About the Role
We’re looking for a driven and personable Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our client base and grow our presence in key markets. You’ll play a critical role in identifying new business opportunities, engaging with decision-makers, and nurturing early-stage relationships with potential clients.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, consultative environment and is excited by the opportunity to work directly with founders, executives, and hiring managers.
Responsibilities
- Proactively research and identify new business opportunities in target industries (e.g., tech, professional services, clean energy, etc.)
- Generate leads through outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, cold calls, referrals)
- Qualify and engage prospects to understand their hiring needs and challenges
- Set up introductory meetings for senior team members or manage early sales conversations independently
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients in HubSpot (or similar CRM)
- Collaborate with recruiters and account managers to align outreach with market demand
- Provide input on sales strategy, campaign ideas, and value propositions
- Represent the Talent Advantage brand with professionalism, credibility, and a people-first approach
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation (preferably B2B or agency side)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Confident and comfortable initiating conversations with senior decision-makers
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and time management skills
- Familiarity with CRMs, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and email automation tools
- Interest in recruiting, HR tech, or the startup ecosystem is a strong asset
- Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to grow within the company
