JOB TITLE: Business Development - Permanent - Full Time
Position is at our Kelowna BC or Oliver BC location.
Job Description:
Nehring Transport is seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Business Development Manager to drive the company's growth and build relationships with existing and new clients. The role requires a strategic thinker who can foster strong partnerships. Nehring Transport provides transport services in Western Canada & Northwest USA.
This is a permanent, full time position Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Benefits package offered after three month probation period is complete. Position will be open until a suitable candidate is hired.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Client Engagement
- Formulate and execute strategic sales plans that align with business objectives to expand our service offerings and reach new markets.
- Lead outreach and client engagement for logistics services particularly in flat deck and bulk transport.
Lead Generation & Sales Pipeline
- Generate new leads via networking, industry events, and cold outreach.
- Respond swiftly to client inquiries, RFQs, and RFPs.
Tailored Solutions & Proposals
- Work closely with the operations team to create logistics solutions that meet specific client needs.
- Ensure quotes are competitive while maintaining profitability and aligning with customer expectations.
- Explore potential growth opportunities in new markets or verticals and develop business cases for expanding or enhancing service offerings.
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activities to guide leadership in making informed decisions about service innovations.
- Foster strong, ongoing relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and high retention rates.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records and provide regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and insights.
- Take part in quarterly reviews and strategy sessions to refine sales tactics and operational coordination.
Qualifications & Skills:
Business Expansion & Service Development
- Proven ability to lead market expansion efforts and develop new service offerings that meet evolving customer demands.
Client Onboarding & Relationship Building
- Expertise in acquiring new clients, managing relationships, and nurturing long-term partnerships.
Sales & Performance Reporting
- Strong focus on tracking sales performance, providing detailed reports, and continuously improving processes.
