Corpay is currently looking to hire a Manager, Business Development within our Cross Border division. This position falls under our Global Integrated line of business and is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In this role, you will lead, coach, and motivate a team to create quality prospect appointments and sales-ready leads for our senior sales representatives. As a vital member of the sales leadership team, you’ll be working closely with our marketing and data research functions to shape and deliver on the regional strategy for prospect generation.
You will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.
How We Work
As the Manager, Business Development you will be expected to work in our Toronto office. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:
- Assigned workspace in our Toronto office
- Company-issued equipment + remote access
- Formal, hands-on training
- Oversee the Business Development team’s day-to-day activities.
- Support the assignment of prospects and leads within the BD team
- Supervise the lead generation process, provide coaching, drive KPI-based activities, and ensure that any issues are resolved efficiently
- Participate in the recruitment, orientation, training, and set up of new hires in the team
- Work closely with internal business units to improve service delivery and workflow
- Liaise with management to ensure alignment
- Drive adoption and efficient use of our sales enablement technologies
- Able to lead by example, producing your own prospect appointments and sales-ready leads
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Degree/ Diploma in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of inside and/or outside sales or partnership hunting experience
- 2+ years of inside and/or outside sales leadership experience
- Proficiency in using Salesforce, Seismic, Salesloft and Zoom tools for researching and contact management a plus
- Knowledge of the financial markets will be a plus, along with payment process understanding (training will be given)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with CRM systems (i.e. Salesforce.com), and sales-enablement technologies
- Demonstrated level of managing sales pipeline during the interview process
- Exception interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills; organizational and administrative skills.

Pay Transparency
This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range depends on a number of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience training licenses and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets. At Corpay it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is CAD $130,000 to $150,000.
