We are a busy casual restaurant located in downtown Nanaimo, and we are looking for a talented breakfast chef to add to our team. We are looking for someone with a passion for cooking high quality meals and helping to create the ultimate guest experience. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety guidelines
- Monitor food inventory and advise management to order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and maintain cleanliness of work area
Skills:
- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced and/or fine-dining restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
