- $60,000 annually to start
- $70,000 after successful 3-month probation

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Administrator & Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of our office, including administrative support, basic bookkeeping, and hands-on involvement in plant operations when needed.
You’ll work on-site at our Delta facility and occasionally at our Richmond office. The right candidate is organized, a natural problem-solver, and eager to contribute to the success of a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Office & Administrative Support
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist the shipping officer as needed
- Maintain office and safety supply inventory
- Onboard new employees (time tracking, benefits, payroll software)
- Provide direct administrative support to the President:
- Schedule appointments and travel arrangements
- Assist with various tasks and correspondence
- Step in to support the shipping department during absences or busy periods
2. Bookkeeping Support
- Print and distribute AR/AP invoices for coding and entry
- Match invoices to POs and assist with collections and payments
- Update payroll punch times and print reports for bi-weekly payroll
- Prepare and distribute management reports
- Process and file daily invoices
- Track PEFC-certified lumber purchases for reporting
- Assist with costing analysis on select production runs
3. Ad Hoc Projects
- Provide administrative assistance on special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in an office administrator role required
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic accounting knowledge is preferred
- Self-motivated and eager to learn new systems and processes
Availability
- Must be able to work on-site at our Delta facility and travel occasionally to our Richmond location
