Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and creative Piercer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for body art and a strong understanding of the piercing process, ensuring a safe and positive experience for clients. As a Piercer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality piercing services while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires excellent communication skills and an artistic eye to help clients choose the best options for their body art.
Responsibilities
- Perform various types of body piercings, including ear, nose, lip, and other areas as requested by clients.
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to health and safety regulations and local guidelines. Ensure excellent cleanliness of the studio, maintenance of sharps and biohazard waste, and physical space requirements are met.
- Educate clients on aftercare procedures and provide guidance on jewelry selection.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote a safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to offer the latest services.
- Collaborate with team members to create an inviting atmosphere that enhances client experience.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the piercing studio, working closely with the shop manager.
- Support inventory management and feedback with shop manager to ensure optimal quantities & assortment of jewelry are available.
- Uphold legal compliance in all customer interactions including verifying proper identification, requirements and waivers.
Skills
- Communication ( Strong English is a must)
- 2+ years of professional experience with needle piercing
- experience working with internally threaded 2-piece piercing jewelry
- Up to date first aid and blood-borne pathogens OSHA certifications
- Comfortable working with an autoclave

Pay: $50.00-$100.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
