The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic front-of-house professional to join our award-winning team as a Bar Manager/ Mixologist (Ancora False Creek).
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the bar is properly stocked at all times.
- Stay current with the global trends in new cocktail development.
- Update seasonal beer lists.
- Train and develop staff by showing them everything from cocktail techniques to alcohol law.
- Satisfy all customer requirements by ensuring that the service is constantly maintained at a consistently high standard with a focus on regular clientele at the bar.
- Set a good example for the staff with regard to punctuality, attendance, attitude and hygiene.
- Assess staff training needs and provide relevant training.
- Ensure guest drinks are prepared and served according to company standards and as efficiently as possible.
- Carry out the ordering of supplies as and when necessary.
- Carry out accurate end-of-night procedures.
- Communicate regularly and efficiently with the General Manager and Executive Chef.
- Constantly strive to improve the standards of hygiene and service throughout the bar.
- Ordering all L/W/B on a weekly basis.
- Entering new items into the inventory and POS systems.
What You Have
· Previous of experience in an upscale restaurant bar management/ mixologist position and proven ability to manage and maintain the highest service standards.
· Decision-making skills, process improvement, strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability, and quality focus.
· Strong knowledge of wine and cocktails
· Proven ability to grow the business, increase sales and drive traffic, all while improving the guest experience.
· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
· Bartending Certification, WSET, and Cicerone Certification considered an asset
