Based at our Chilliwack location, the Yard Labourer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the plant site to meet established Company standards of cleanliness and safety. The Yard Labourer properly disposes various materials during production process and assists in the loading or unloading containing raw materials and/or finished product. Adherence to company safety procedures and processes are a requirement of this position.

Hourly wage is: $18.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate all mobile equipment safely including skid-steers and forklifts
- Dump, scrape and rinse roll-off bins
- Use forklifts and ratchet straps to dump and break down bins
- Maintain a high standard of site cleanliness by rinsing receiving pits and cleaning other plant equipment
- Ensure storage areas are organized and clean as per company standards
- Move material from de-packaging area to production
- Accurately measure bulk bins
- Supply bins and other material to production teams to avoid work interruption
- Assist with managing clean bins inventory including inspection and removal of damaged bins
- Identify and dispose of garbage waste, cardboard, pallets
- Clean the employee lunch room, changeroom and other facility areas
- Maintain supply of paper towels, soaps and other supplies
- Accurately measure inventory of raw material and finished products
- Assist Plant Receivers with unloading and loading of trucks when required
- May be required to rotate as a Received based on prior approval from Manager
- Perform shift work based on company business needs which evolve and change in response to customer demands
- Removal of snow and apply de-icing salt in the yard and other plant surfaces
- Adhere to safety protocols and other procedures as dictated by West Coast Reduction Ltd. (“WCRL”) or Redux Nutrition Ltd. (“RNL”)
- Forklift Operator and Skid Steer Certifications or experience preferred; ability to obtain Certifications within first 3 months of employment is required
- Adaptable to adverse conditions including exposure to outdoors, cold weather and exposure to dust/fine grain materials
- Competency using technology such as smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices to record raw materials
- Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance
- Perform repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing and reaching overhead above the shoulders daily
