Job Description
Misty Pines is a small café and bakery located in Wesley Square in the Old City Quarter of Nanaimo. We are looking for someone with a good attitude, work ethic and the drive for perfection! Our hours of operation are 8am-4pm 7 days a week.
Duties
- General Prep: Mixing doughs, proofing and baking bread and pastries, feeding starters, chopping/peeling/cutting fruits and vegetables for various jams and fillings
- Laminating and shaping croissants
- Making and decorating various tarts, puffs, and cookies
- Maintain the quality and freshness of ingredients
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, including equipment, personal tools and utensils; understand and abide by Health & Safety standards and Food Safe requirements
- Monitor and log shortages as required
- Cleaning down work area and writing an accurate prep list for the next day
- Must be available to work various shifts, including as early as 4 am
- Must be available weekends and holidays
