Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Automotive Coatings Technical Services Representative to join our dynamic team in the South Western Ontario area. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to our automotive coatings customers. Your primary focus will be to ensure customer satisfaction by assisting with product selection, troubleshooting issues, and delivering technical training when necessary. To excel in this position, you should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive coatings industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance to automotive coatings customers, including answering inquiries, resolving product-related issues, and offering application guidance.
2. Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of our automotive coatings product line, staying updated on new developments and innovations.
3. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and acting as a liaison between the customer and our technical team.
4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, both remotely and on-site, to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
5. Documentation: Prepare technical reports, documentation, and case studies to assist customers and internal teams in understanding product performance.
6. Product Testing: Collaborate with R&D and Quality Control teams to assist in product testing and evaluation, providing valuable feedback for product improvement.
7. Compliance: Ensure that all technical services activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
Requirements:
1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support role within the automotive coatings industry.
2. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive coatings products, application processes, and relevant industry standards.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
4. Customer Focus: A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.
5. Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and solve technical issues efficiently.
6. Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
7. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
8. Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for on-site technical support (percentage of travel may vary).
9. Computer Skills: Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications.
