Job Description:
Position Overview: The Automation & Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of Robotic technicians, Mechanics, Electricians, and Toolmakers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) robotics and will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Robot Technicians, Mechanics, Electricians, and Toolmakers.
- Oversee emergency breakdown repairs with the automation & maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs and robotic systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and robotic systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accountability and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Education and Experience:
- College diploma or university degree in a technical field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)., or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
- Experience leading and managing skilled trades and maintenance technicians.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
