About the Team
Workday’s Talent Optimization Product Management team is growing, and we are seeking a Manager to lead our Career Mobility & Skills team. Our full Talent Optimization solution enables customers to more effectively hire, engage and retain their workforce through a skills-based people strategy. Our goal is to empower companies, improve employee happiness, and change the future of work. You will be responsible for leading the hard-working team of product managers to innovate and take the product to the next level.
About the Role
  • Lead a team of dynamic product managers to grow and deliver on the vision of Workday Skills and Talent Optimization.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams across Workday to implement elegant solutions to key business problems.
  • Plan and manage the solution roadmap with an eye toward embracing innovation, addressing key customer needs, and maximizing the power of Workday’s suite of Human Capital Management solutions.
  • Engage customers and users at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure we are solving the right problems and building products our customers love and are straightforward to implement.
  • Partner with Development, Quality Assurance, Functional Architects, Strategy and other cross-functional groups to ensure alignment and shared mission.
  • Recruit and retain top talent by helping the members of your team develop their skills and drive increasing value to customers.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an enterprise Software Product Manager, driving product vision and strategically prioritizing features on the product roadmap.
  • Prior experience in a management role, with a strong desire to mentor and guide junior team members.

  • Deep empathy for users and a commitment to deliver high-quality solutions and products that they love.
  • A teaming style that enables you to win the hearts and minds of your peers and customers to successfully execute a sophisticated product roadmap that requires cross-team collaboration.
  • The ability to develop a rhythm, thrive, and encourage others in a constantly evolving, agile product organization.
  • A mind for using data to creatively find solutions.
  • Experience with Jira and other cloud-based tools to keep a team organized, informed, and focused.
  • A continuous learning demeanor that takes personal ownership for ongoing learning and growth.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to “roll-up sleeves” to get things done.
  • Skilled at working efficiently with cross-functional teams and across multiple locations.
  • Experience with development of enterprise SaaS applications
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • A BS / BA / MBA degree or equivalent work experience.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
