We are Seeking: We are currently seeking an Assistant Site Supervisor to join our Edmonton Operations Team.

Location: This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a field-based position.
Hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday, 40-hours per week.

Position Overview: As the Assistant Site Supervisor, you will play a valuable and crucial role in contributing to the completion of our projects from insulation stage to texture completion. You have experience and knowledge of insulation, spray foam/thermal, drywall, taping, sanding, texture and touch up procedures and management.
You will apply this knowledge to directly contribute to the well-being of the Calgary operations division. This position offers a great opportunity for individuals looking to utilize and uplevel their existing skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assistant in overseeing day-to-day operations on the job sites.
- Support our Operations team, working closely with the GWI Site Supervisor team.
- Participate in training and mentorship with GWI Site Supervisors and Construction Manger to gain and build skills to be 2IC for Site Supervisor position for holiday and overflow coverage.
- Ensure GWI sites are prepared, clean and safe.
- Ensure timelines are met for each job through various spot checks performed throughout the length of the job.
- Develop, maintain and build effective relationships with GWI clients, Sub-Contractors and suppliers.
- Deal with customer’s concerns efficiently and effectively with knowledge-based responses.
- Work with Production Coordinator and Operations team to top-grade Sub-Contractors.
- Follow Quality Control process for each job to ensure Great Western Interiors standards.
- Follow procedures to prevent problems or errors. Support in updating and developing procedures to ensure productivity is enhanced.
- Enhance, promote and facilitate internal and external communication.
- Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and improve our business processes and practices.
- Support in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures for the Operations Team.
- Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in Drywall and/or Insulation Industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Entry level knowledge on how to count insulation, drywall and foam for job starts.
- Ability to understand general problems of the industry - insulation, boarding, taping, texture/paint-grade/level 5 ceilings, spray foam and attic blow.
- Willingness to learn, train and participate in mentorship
- Teamwork skills. The ability to take direction and work effectively alongside a team to achieve solutions.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Negotiation skills to address sub-contractor and customer issues in an effective manner.
- Strong communication skills, adaptable to utilize multiple communication platforms (phone, text, email, in-person and scheduling software/portals) to effectively complete full scope insulation and drywall projects.
- Tech Skills, a general understanding of hardware, software considered an asset. Including Microsoft Suite Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and Word.
