What we are looking for:
The Analyst, Global Distribution Analytics will report to the Team Lead, Global Distribution Analytics and will be responsible for populating and validating an internal web-based information system that provides strategy characteristics, performance, Asset Under Management (AUM) and holdings for our strategies. This tool is used by internal users at Fiera as well as by eVestment OMNI to populate external databases. A strong technical background is therefore required for this role as you will be involved in building out future phases of development for the web-based system. You will collaborate with a team of two or three analysts, and you will influence, through analysis, the setting of targets and the identification of ways to improve service delivery. You will assist with sourcing and validating quantitative data for RFP submissions, factsheet production, and external consultant databases such as eVestment.
Your responsibilities:
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
- Populate and validate internal information system
- Populate and validate external consultants’ databases with quantitative information
- Act as a key member of the project team to develop more functionality for internal information system
- Collect, analyze and validate data from internal and external sources for RFP submissions and factsheet production
- Participate in creating and improving systems and services based on business needs and the current environment
- Collaborate with internal teams to align technology solutions with business strategies
- Inform stakeholders on various subjects (issues, action plans, etc.) and escalate files
- Provide thought leadership and act as a resourceful person in the team
Must have requirements to be successful in this role:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in finance or any other relevant diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in the investment industry, with a portfolio management company, consulting firm, pension plan or equivalent employer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to produce high-quality work
- Excellent ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment with multiple deadlines
- Results-oriented and proactive
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI
- Knowledge of third-party databases and software such as eVestment and Morningstar is an asset
- Knowledge of computer language (SQL, Python) is an asset
- Bilingualism (French and English) both written and spoken
- Have the CFA designation or be in the process of obtaining is an asset
