Job Description
You play a central role in implementing the merchandising strategy, ensuring an optimal product range, facilitating product training, and improving the customer and supplier experience. You contribute to Altrom's product strategy and roll it out with the sales teams in the field. In collaboration with the senior director and senior market managers, you develop specific strategies to meet market needs, support sales and margin growth, and optimize inventory, including building the private label program. You also oversee regular reviews of sales, margins, and inventory with key suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure effective implementation of Altrom product strategies, while providing analysis and recommendations to optimize product positioning and marketing initiatives.
- Align operations and sales teams through matrix management to drive portfolio growth.
- Work with category and product managers to develop and execute merchandising strategies in line with business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competition, and customer preferences to identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and branch managers to increase sales and profitability.
- Lead sales and operations team meetings, create and update content, and communicate key results to management.
- Provide leadership to product managers and indirect leadership to sales representatives, fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture and ensuring accountability for results.
Qualifications
To join our team, you must:
- Hold a university degree in business administration or marketing, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar field.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English (French an asset), both oral and written. As part of your duties, you will regularly collaborate with internal clients across Canada.
