Why Join Us?
Join us as our new Academic Transition Programs Coordinator and be at the forefront of shaping student success at the University of Regina!
The primary function and purpose of the Academic Transition Programs Coordinator is to manage the Academic Transition Programs and the SSW ACT non-credit course, exercise judgment, and provide leadership and direction to any questions, issues, or processes related to these programs and students attending them. The coordinator also develops, manages, and oversees all the programs’ processes and procedures, and hires, provides training, and supervises all staff working for these programs. This position plays a key role within the University’s overall strategic enrolment and retention initiatives by enabling students, who would normally either not be admissible to the U of R or have had to sit out of university for three or more semesters, to progress in their course of study. To provide a comprehensive, integrated approach to students’ success and retention, the coordinator establishes and maintains effective collaborative relationships across campus and collaborates with the majority of the U of R units, departments, faculties, and colleges.
