Job Overview
Are you passionate about feminist values, community connection, and creating spaces of care and inclusion? Mokami Status of Women Council (MSWC) is seeking a Women's Centre Coordinator to join our dedicated and compassionate team. This is a full-time, permanent role that plays a central part in shaping and sustaining programming that supports women and gender-diverse individuals in our community.
This position is both dynamic and deeply meaningful. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Women's Centre Coordinator works independently while remaining closely connected to the heart of our organization. You’ll collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community members to co-create free, accessible, trauma-informed, and feminist programming. From wellness groups to public education, your leadership will ensure the Centre continues to be a trusted, inclusive space.
The role includes program development and delivery, community engagement, and advocacy on gender-based issues. You’ll represent MSWC on working groups and committees, speak at public events, and help amplify the voices of those we serve. Strong communication skills and comfort with public speaking are important, as this role is often called upon to share the work of MSWC and advocate for systemic change.
While you'll work to sustain our core offerings, you'll also be encouraged to bring forward new ideas and explore emerging opportunities—especially in the area of therapeutic programming (e.g., support groups, group therapy, or one-on-one support). Candidates with counselling experience or training will be considered strong assets.
At MSWC, we care deeply about each other and the work we do. Our team is values-driven, supportive, and united by a shared commitment to justice, equity, and community wellness. If you're looking for meaningful work in an environment where care, collaboration, and purpose come first, we’d love to hear from you.
