We’re looking to hire a talented Warehouse Supervisor based in Edmonton, Canada.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily operations and ensure all warehouse functions run smoothly and efficiently. This role is responsible for overseeing shipping, receiving, inventory control, and team performance to support our commitment to quality and service excellence.
Primary Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all inbound and outbound freight processes in line with company policies and customer expectations.
- Lead the receiving and verification of all incoming products, returns, and assets—both company-owned and customer-owned.
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of consumables and parts to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Perform administrative tasks such as inventory counts, preparing shipping documentation, and booking transport.
- Serve as the main point of contact for communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to meet operational and customer service goals.
- Provide leadership and direction to warehouse staff, supporting performance and development.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Execute material movement transactions via SAP - ERP systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Able to operate PIT’s (Power Industrial Trucks)
- EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) responsibilities include enforcing safety procedures, conducting inspections, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulations, also promote a safety culture, and maintain relevant records
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with data entry systems
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with data entry systems.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/WMS systems preferred.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
- Valid forklift/PIT certification or ability to obtain one.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position may require occasional overtime or weekend work based on operational needs.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
