The Hydro Testing and Calibration Technician candidate will work with all departments within Aircom. We are looking for a candidate with a highly motivated and self disciplined work ethic; this individual has a disciplined approach to developing and demonstrating technical knowledge and skill in their tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate is someone who recognizes the importance of accuracy and thoroughness. An individual that prefers to be "hands-on" with attention to, and organization of, details.
Training will be provided for this position with ongoing mentor-ship to develop the candidate’s Aircom specialist skill set.
Major functions of the role include:
- Perform Hydro Testing on welded parts and supplied products.
- Assemble / Disassemble valves and manifolds.
- Operate Diaphragm Filling Station to accurately fill and test gauges & transmitters.
- Operate Temperature Calibration Equipment to test & calibrate various temperature sensors.
- Perform other general shop tasks as required
- Provide consistent and accurate demonstration of daily tasks Capability to demonstrate safe work practices Provide an organized and clean work space Ability to take direction and multi task
Qualifications:
Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs Forklift experience an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer knowledge First-rate organizational skills High School or Grade 12 equivalent
