The Warehouse Operation Supervisor contributes to the success of the UNIONE FOODS GROUP by maximizing warehouse management, inventory capacity and transportation management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee shipping/receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations.
· Comply with federal and provincial warehousing regulations and requirements.
· Manage the logistics (delivery) teams.
· Maintain cleanliness, daily cycle, and inspection.
· Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory.
· Monitor delivery schedules and customer orders.
· Communicate with sales staff regarding order status and any discrepancies.
· Safety training to teams in warehouse and delivery operations.
· Manage the handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
· Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization; take into account full implications of product turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
· Develop, implement and monitor warehouse processes and procedures.
· Ensure a safe and healthy workplace, identifying and correcting unsafe practices. Work with Health and Safety to establish and implement new or revised processes, as necessary.
· Facilitate the flow of documents into the office in a timely manner.
· Build on team meetings and workplace culture.

Experience required:
· 3 years plus in warehouse management.
· Similar experience in food distribution industry is highly preferred.
· Familiar with order management and inventory management.
· Experience with warehouse management systems.
· Working knowledge of trucks, vans and freight equipment.
· Experience in managing logistics team.
· Strong analytical and decision-making capability.
· Sense of urgency, detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Team-building and leadership abilities.
· Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
· Effective computer skills with ability to use software such as Microsoft Suite.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Forklift experience.

Pay: $50,400.00-$60,000.00 per year
