Job Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Inventory Coordinator to oversee and optimize our warehouse inventory and organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory levels, organizing stock, conducting regular counts, and handling basic shipping and receiving tasks. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about process improvement and operational efficiency. You will act as the inventory gate-keeper for R&D and production, meaning all inventory requests in and out will run through you.
Duties
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, perform regularcycle counts, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Stock Organization: Ensure all inventory is properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible.
- Order Put-Away: Efficiently receive, inspect, and put away incoming orders,verifying quantities and quality.
- Shipping and Receiving: Assist with preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming goods, and coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of inventory movements, stock levels, and shipping/receiving activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to support smooth operations.
To succeed in this job, you will need:
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain high accuracy in inventory records.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying and resolving inventory issues quicklyand efficiently.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 20 kg.
Education & Experience:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is an asset.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Experience: Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software is an asset.
Work Environment:
- Fast-Paced Manufacturing: The role involves working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with frequent interactions with production teams.
- Physical Demands: Must be comfortable with standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced setting.
