The Yard Team Member is responsible for assisting all customers in the yard with their product needs while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. They play an important role as they generally are the first and last contact with our customers.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving and Processing - Handling incoming shipments, unpacking items, and checking for damage or discrepancies
- Inventory Management - Organizing and storing goods, Working closely with our ICA to maintain accurate inventory records, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Order Fulfillment - Picking and packing items for customer orders, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring accuracy in quantity and documentation.
- Shipping/Recieving - Loading and unloading trucks, preparing items for shipment.
- Equipment Operation - Safely operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Maintaining a Safe and Clean Environment - Ensuring the warehouse is organized, clean, and adhering to safety regulations
- Collaboration - Working with other team members to meet daily productivity targets and ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods up[to 80lbs.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in inventory management, order fulfillment, and documentation.
- Basic Math Skills: Ability to count, weigh, and measure items accurately.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members and supervisors.
- Equipment Operation: (Depending on the role) Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Identifying and resolving issues related to inventory, orders, or equipment.
- Adaptability: Being able to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
