As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist clients with general inquiries.
- Collect and update patient information accurately in our electronic medical records system.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing exceptional patient care.
- Process payments, handle invoices, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Provide basic information and guidance to clients regarding pet care, preventive medicine, and vaccination schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Assist with handling and restraining animals, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and veterinarians.
- A genuine love and understanding of animals, with comfort and experience handling dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in computer systems and ability to quickly learn and navigate new software applications.
- Weekday schedule Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional veterinary or animal care education is a plus.
