*Job Summary
- We are a small animal clinic located in Pickering, seeking an experienced and motivated full time/PT, veterinary assistant /receptionist to join our amazing team. This position requires working every other weekend. We need someone with a cheerful personality who is a quick learner, team player and works well with patients and clients. Minimum six months to one year relevant job experience required in veterinary clinic/hospital.
*Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist the doctor during appointments and procedures
- Restraint of animals
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- General cleanliness/upkeep of hospital
- Stocking of exam rooms, surgical suite and treatment area
- Reception duties such as answering phone calls, booking appointments and documentation of client communications work well under pressure, have excellent customer service skills and communicate well.
- Must be available on Saturday
*Qualifications and Skills
- Must have - Minimum six months relevant veterinary experience at the front desk
- Works well under pressure
- Have excellent customer service skills and communication skills
- Knowledge of Avimark is an asset
Benefits
Salary is based on experience

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
