Job Overview
We are seeking 2 Utility Operators to join our team. The Utility Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment and systems within our facility.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the basic set-up, operation and running of the Polar guillotine, jogger aerator as well as the stringing machines
- Ensures the production of a high quality product by making required adjustments to equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
Qualifications/Skills Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Experience operating Polar guillotine, Jogger Aerator as well as Stringing machines preferred
- Fundamental computer skills and Mechanical aptitude
- Technical knowledge of machines/equipment
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Stand for extended periods
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines
- Operate and work near machinery safely
