About the Role
The US Tax Analyst plays an active role in the delivery of tax compliance and planning engagements, meeting expectations for budget, time frame and quality. This role is a full-time contract position.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Preparing Canadian and US personal income tax returns, forms and related filings.
- Performing technical research and preparing tax correspondence in connection with Canada Revenue Agency and Internal Revenue Service notices and related requests.
- Providing support for team members on tax related matters for all personal tax clients.
- On an ongoing basis, identify opportunities for additional Rise services with existing clients and proactively move the opportunity forward within the firm as required.
Required Experience, Qualifications and Characteristics:
- Undergraduate degree in an accounting program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a public practice accounting environment.
- Familiarity with Canadian and/or US personal income tax.
- Experience with CCH ProSystems Fx and Tax Prep software is considered an asset.
- Self-starter, someone eager to take initiative in their role.
- Multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) – and commitment to maintaining an open, transparent dialogue with colleagues and clients.
- ‘One Team’ mindset – openness to collaborate with all colleagues and bring positive energy to the team.
Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
Contract Duration: From January 2026 to end of June 2026
