Position Summary

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day clerical duties of the unit. This is a weekend majority working line *

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Successful completion of Medical Office Administration/Clerk Program
  • Current (within 2 years) receptionist/clerical experience in a medical setting
  • Experience in maintenance of health records, processing of orders and payroll
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Meditech experience an asset

Mandatory Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Reliable and dependable individual with proven record of excellent attendance and flexibility (able to work all shifts)
  • Proven ability to multitask and organize workload in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Knowledge of chart assembling, ordering and dismantling
  • Excellent interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated exemplary communication skills with all levels of personnel, patients and families
  • Safety (patient, worker & workplace) is a BCHS Corporate Priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate good stewardship in the identification, reporting and mitigation of unsafe acts or conditions.

Preferred Competencies

  • Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts
