Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Tube Mill Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tube mill equipment to produce metal tubing that meets our quality and dimensional standards. This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone mechanically inclined, safety-minded, and detail-oriented.
Essential Duties
- Set up and operate tube mill machinery based on production specs
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring tools
- Perform tooling changes and adjust equipment to maintain consistent output
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct minor maintenance
- Load material and monitor line flow to ensure smooth operationAdhere to OHSA and company safety standards, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure efficiency
- Other duties as assigned
Must Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–4+ years of experience operating a tube mill or similar equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers/calipers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Nice to Haves
- Forklift or crane certification
- Previous experience in steel or tube manufacturing
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a loud, industrial environment with moving machinery
