Driver - Single Axel - Class 5 (minimum)
We are seeking a motivated individual for the position of Truck driver for our Single Axle Truck. Starting wage is based on experience - $24-$28/hour
As a Single Axel Truck Driver, you would:
- Deliver and haul material while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain daily logs as required, perform pre & post trip inspections
- Loading, securing and transporting various types of materials
- Transporting, loading, unloading and setting up metal fencing
- Supporting various areas within the company with manual labour, including bin painting
- Comply with Contain-A-Way Services safe working procedures and practices
- Other related duties as required
Our ideal candidate will:
- A Valid British Columbia Class 5 License
- 2 years relevant experience
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, drivers hours, and occupational health & safety
- Operate their equipment in a manner as not to cause damage to the equipment or any surrounding structures or impediments and to do so safely to ensure the safety of themselves and others onsite
- Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch in a professional and respectful manner
- Traffic Control Person certification (TCP) (preferred)
- Asbestos Foundations - Level 1 (preferred)
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to bend, lift, push, pull and walk on varied terrain
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
