Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trim Carpenter to join our construction team. As a trim carpenter, you will be responsible for installing finish carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, and other interior wood finishes in newly constructed homes.
Position & Responsibilities:
· Install interior trim, including doors, baseboards, casings, crown molding, and cabinetry.
· Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
· Operate power and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials.
· Ensure all work is done to a high standard of craftsmanship and in compliance with building codes.
· Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to stay on schedule and meet project deadlines.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Identify and report any issues or defects to supervisors.
Requirements & Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in trim or finish carpentry.
· Proficiency with carpentry tools and techniques.
· Strong understanding of residential construction and finish work.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
· Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
· Work on homes throughout the Halifax and surrounding areas.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
