The Lac La Ronge Indian Band’s Woodland Wellness Centre is inviting applications for the following Permanent Full-Time position based out of the Treatment Department in La Ronge, SK:
Treatment Manager
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Ensures effective day to day management of the Treatment Programs with Lac La Ronge Indian Band Woodland Wellness Centre by:
- Working in collaboration with the WWC Director, Cultural Manager, Finance and Admin Manager and Prevention & Recovery Manager;
- Monitor and ensure the focus of the WWC Treatment team is on participant focused assessment and intervention of participant needs; includes chairing team meetings and case management activities;
- Monitors, assesses, and directs all therapeutic decision-making processes and interventions that are consistent with identified WWC protocols and procedures;
- Monitor and assist in the encouragement of appropriate staff - participant interactions including mentoring, coaching staff as needed to ensure ethical practice and conduct is congruent;
- Conducting regular unit meetings to review program strategic goals and objectives and organizational strategic goals and objectives;
- Maintaining a balanced program budget;
- Support the Treatment Supervisor in conduction of regular program and employee appraisals;
- Developing and enhancing service delivery models in consultation with other program/units as required;
- Ensuring the development of individual and program/unit annual work plans based on the identified strategic plan for the positions supervised;
- Reviewing and refining policies and procedures manuals for the units as appropriate;
- Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field;
- Master’s Degree is preferred;
- A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered;
- Minimum three to five (3-5) years’ experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role;
- Experience working with budget maintenance and reporting;
- Experience in facilitating groups, public speaking, presentations; and writing reports;
- Ability to work independently as well as be a member of a team;
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends;
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office;
- Must have experience working with First Nations communities and knowledge of Woodland Cree culture & traditions;
- Ability to speak/understand the Cree language is an asset;
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and own a reliable vehicle;
- Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Check, SGI Driver’s Abstract.
