Reporting to the Transit Manager and Transit Inspectors, the Transit Operator will operate transit coaches safely in all weather conditions under minimal supervision, picking up and dropping off passengers while maintaining the route schedule. Transit Operators respond to questions from the public regarding bus routes, detours and time schedules and also monitor fares ensuring cash, passes or transfers are provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of City of Brantford streets is required for this position
- Enthusiastic individuals with positive attitudes who enjoy working with the public and have a customer service focus
- Class B or C license or ability to successfully complete training for license upgrade
WAGE/SALARY RANGE: $25.20 to $31.50 per hour (based on a 40-hour work week) plus benefits.
