POSITION SUMMARY
The Total Rewards Analyst provides analytical and system support in developing, implementing, and analyzing various processes within the Total Rewards Centre of Excellence (CoE). This includes analyzing and monitoring compensation and benefits programs, conducting data audits, upholding data integrity in our HRIS, and ensuring timely responses to internal queries and service provider escalations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards Transformation, this role is the first point of contact for Talent teams on compensation accountabilities to ensure consistent application of programs and policies. It will be a key contributor in reporting and analytics for the Total Rewards function. This role is a full-time 12-month contract opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support and coordination of the annual compensation cycle including the compensation review process, market analysis, pay and gender equity analysis, and providing guidance to Talent Managers and leaders.
- Support job evaluation process including evaluating jobs, ensuring positions are configured correctly in HRIS and aligned with job level framework
- Conduct firmwide compensation equity analyses, including salary range utilization, internal alignment, and progression within ranges
- Assist the Senior Manager in executing Total Rewards transformation projects, including data gathering, analysis, and reporting.
- Manage the participation of industry Total Rewards surveys and analyses – compile job matching data, review and analyze results, identify best practice trends, provide recommendations based on competitive positioning against market.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to managers, Talent Advisory, Talent Acquisition teams and other stakeholders on compensation questions including salary ranges and market analysis.
- Conduct analysis and data review to ensure accuracy of data and integrations, updating systems as required.
- Maintain awareness of legislation, regulations, and standards related to ensure compliance.
- Contribute to the development of HR dashboards and data analytics. This includes developing analytical models, conducting analysis, and generating insight to inform organizational initiatives and talent decisions.
- Support the development of presentation materials with relevant data, visuals, and storytelling.
- Support data governance processes by monitoring data quality, addressing or escalating issues, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Assist in the development of new HR process flows and diagrams.
- Assist the Talent Systems team with reporting requests and creation of story reports (dashboards).
- Support the maintenance, testing and training of Total Rewards related modules and screens in the HRIS.
- Assist with the review and audit of various Total Rewards programs to ensure data integrity and system integration performance.
- Provide support in benefits related analysis as needed
- Participate in ad-hoc projects in Total Rewards.
- Ensure that change management concepts and activities are well integrated into the implementation and deployment of Total Rewards processes and related projects. Create documentation and deliver training to Talent team members, as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certification as Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
- Related post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive and recent experience in compensation is required.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel with experience in creating complex formulas and analyzing large datasets.
- Experience with job evaluation, pay design and compensation systems is required.
- Proficiency with Power BI is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, interpret and administer HR policies involving Total Rewards.
- Previous experience with HRMS systems, familiarity with SuccessFactors is an asset.
- Ability to effectively manage confidential and/or sensitive information, with a demonstrated commitment to privacy and ethical conduct.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines in fast-paced environment and communicate the status of assignments.
- Ability to apply critical thinking to complex and sensitive cases.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrates a high level of accountability to the overall success of the team.
- Capable of working individually and collaboratively within a team, in a complex, matrixed, fast-paced and client-focused environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong communication skills to explain compensation and benefit programs to all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively build relationships with clients and colleagues remotely.
