Kal Tire has an opening for a hands on, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Chilliwack, BC. Responsibilities:
- Standard Forklift: Stock and order picking according to daily demand.
- Shipping and Receiving: Efficiently manage the incoming and outgoing flow of tires and wheels, lifting and moving tires and automotive accessories.
- Physical Stamina: Excel in a physically demanding environment, loading and unloading trailers by hand, which includes consistently lifting and moving tires throughout the shift.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shipping area, contributing to the overall organization of the store's warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Prepare inventory for monthly counts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements:
- Forklift Experience: Standard Forklift with TSP experience a plus.
- Valid Driver's License: Hold a clean and valid driver’s license. (preferred).
- Commitment to Safety: Prioritize safety and contribute to maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver large tires.
- Previous experience: Shipping and receiving work experience is a plus.
- Shift Schedule: 3 week rotation: Day shift 7:00am-3:30pm Evening shift 3:15pm-11:45pm; Options for Overtime; Permanent evenings also available.
