Pharmacy Services - VH Prescription Centre
The Technical Pharmacy Specialist is a Registered Pharmacy Technician who supports the Pharmacy Team as an informal Leader and oversees many aspects of Pharmacy Technician work and development throughout the Pharmacy department.
Temporary Full-Time
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Duration: up to 18 months
Rate of Pay: $34.22 per hour - $42.78 per hour
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Program (2-year Diploma) at the post-secondary level
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Three (3) years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician required, five (5) years preferred
- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy management system preferred
- Compounding Certification (sterile/non-sterile) preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and timelines
- Demonstrated focus on patient safety, including analysis of medication incidents
- Strong interpersonal skills, including in difficult conversations
- Strong technical pharmacy skills and understanding of function of Pharmacy department within a large organization
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's vision, purpose and values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
