Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer . The ideal candidate will possess the ability to transform complex technical information into clear, concise documentation that is accessible to a variety of audiences.
Key requirements:
- Must be a Canadian citizen with security clearance of Secret Level II.
- Minimum 4 years of experience writing technical documents, such as technical data packages or project management documents; and writing Requests for information and/or proposals.
- Undergraduate’s degree in engineering, science, or technical field
- Diploma or degree or equivalent from a recognized college/university in one of the subject - business information, business administration, Computer Science or computer science.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand product functionalities.
- Establish acceptance test criteria with client
- Support and use the selected departmental methodologies
- Define and document interfaces of manual to automated operations within application subsystems, to external systems, and between new and existing systems
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and completeness of content.
- Proofread and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to company standards.
- Update existing documentation as necessary to reflect changes in products or processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer with developing RFPs, Requirement gathering and analyzing, writing procedures and acceptance test criteria.
- Experience with Project Approval Documentation (PAD).
- Strong proficiency in word processing software; experience with Visio is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality documentation.
- Familiarity with industry standards for technical writing is advantageous.
Preferred:
Experience writing in RFP/RFI.
Development of technical documents specific to the LISRM project to enable industry engagement .
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 220 days
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
