If you think you would be the right person to join our team working towards this goal, we would love to hear from you!

Your Team
Magnet Forensics is constantly evolving, and we have an opening for a Technical Manager to join our AXIOM Cyber team. We’re seeking a motivated leader, whether new to management or bringing prior experience, who can guide a small, high-performing technical team while actively contributing to product development and roadmap planning. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring others, fostering both technical excellence and professional growth within the team.

What You Will Accomplish:

    • Drive delivery of impactful, customer-focused software in an Agile setting;
    • Mentor team members and support their technical and career development;
    • Shape team structure and processes to boost engagement and productivity;
    • Encourage experimentation and continuous improvement across the team;
    • Help attract and retain top engineering talent through thoughtful recruitment;
    • Set direction on coding, testing, and architectural standards;
    • Advocate for engineering best practices in planning and execution;
    • Help the team understand how their work fits into the bigger picture;
    • Collaborate on defining and evolving the technical product vision.

What We Are Looking For:

    • We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

Required Skills:

    • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and elevate team performance;
    • Skilled in giving and receiving constructive feedback to drive success;
    • Builds trust across cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
    • Influences team alignment and delivery throughout the development lifecycle;
    • Applies strong situational leadership to adapt and guide effectively;
    • Communicates clearly and confidently—both written and verbal;
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational precision;
    • Collaborates seamlessly across roles and disciplines;
    • Solves complex problems with creativity and clarity.

Nice To Have Skills:

    • 7+ years in software architecture, development, and/or testing;
    • Strategic thinker, requiring little direction, with a hands-on approach to technical projects;
    • Proficient in C#, .net, and adaptable to new programming languages;
    • Strong business acumen paired with technical leadership;
    • Embraces change with a positive, solution-oriented mindset;
    • Builds team culture focused on continuous improvement;
    • Experience collaborating across multiple internal teams.

The Most Important Thing:

    • We’re looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they have demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences:
    • CARE – We care about each other and our mission to make a difference in the world.
    • OWN – We are accountable for our results – while never forgetting to act with integrity, empathy, and respect.
    • DEDICATE – We put our heart and soul into meeting the needs of our customers and helping them serve the people they protect.
    • EVOLVE – We are constantly innovating and exploring new ways to work together to make an impact with our work.
