Ownly is looking for a Technical Assistant Intern to join our passionate and collaborative team of high performers in Calgary. In this role, you will support the technical engineering and quality assurance team.
This role will be dynamic, fast-paced, and exciting. It’s filled with variety and supported by a cultural value of hard work, inclusivity, trust, and entrepreneurial spirit.
This is a part-time 4-month term starting in September 2025 with the possibility of extending to 8 months. Successful Ownly internships also often lead to a permanent position. This internship is open to post-secondary students. Candidates must be in Calgary or open to relocating for on-site work.
Who we're looking for:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, business analytics, or a related field. Currently enrolled in your 3 or 4 year.
- You are a strong team player who can excel in a fast-paced environment.
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and have great time management skills.
- You’re willing to do the hard work required to build an exceptional company.
- You are eager to learn, take pride in your work, and have an interest in the tech industry.
Additional Experience:
- Experience with React, JIRA, or GitHub
- Experience working with UI frameworks and JavaScript.
- Experience working for a SaaS company.
- History working with real estate professionals or applications.
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing quality assurance/ system testing.
- Completing regression testing.
- Communicating with software developers on project schedules.
- Communicating release notes to the sales & marketing team.
- Assisting to integrate 3rd party applications.
- UX research & documentation.
- Writing how-to product guides/ online help articles.
- Assisting other Ownly teams.
