Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated, salaried, Class 1 Team Drivers to join our logistics team. The selected team will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to teamwork, as you will be working closely with other drivers and support staff to meet delivery schedules and maintain high standards of service.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight ensuring proper handling of materials as required
- Securement of freight,
- Maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with team members to plan efficient routes and schedules.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Experience in freight transportation or logistics is a plus.
- Knowledge of forklift operation is beneficial (not required) for loading and unloading tasks.
- Basic automotive repair skills will be advantageous in maintaining vehicle functionality.
- Existing driving teams will be prioritized
- Drivers familiar with Reefers and Produce transport will be prioritized
Shift
- 1st Driver shift Sun - Thurs 12:01-23:59 (Off duty in bunk Mon - Fri 00:01-11:59)
- 2nd Driver shift Mon - Fri 00:01-11:59 (Off duty in bunk Sun-Thurs 12:01-23:59)
