Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various saws and machinery to cut materials according to specifications. The Saw Operator will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring high-quality output while adhering to project timelines.
Duties
- Operate and maintain various types of saws and cutting equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements.
- Measure and mark materials using tools such as calipers and measuring tapes.
- Fabricate components as needed for production, ensuring precision and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery.
- Assist in training new employees on safe operating procedures and best practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and CNC machinery.
- Experience in fabrication and carpentry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for interpreting designs is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong machining skills with an emphasis on precision cutting techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
