The Role : Swirl Crew - Barista
As a Barista on our Swirl Crew, you're the morning kickstart, the mid-day pick-me-up, and the person behind the espresso shots that fuel our guests (and sometimes the team).
You’ll be crafting specialty drinks, dialing in espresso, and keeping the bar flowing with speed and quality.
This is a hands on, fast paced role where your attention to detail, sense of rhythm, and calm under pressure shine.
You’ll be expected to own the bar space and be a key player in guest service during peak times.
You’ll also help out on the floor scooping, cleaning, serving, and generally keeping the vibe high and the workflow smooth.
Your shift could include:
- Preparing a variety of espresso-based drinks with consistency and care
- Managing the bar setup and flow during open or close
- Supporting the team during service with scooping, running drinks, and guest interactions
- Keeping the bar area stocked, clean, and efficient
- Providing product knowledge to help guests choose their perfect combo
- Taking orders/payments using the POS
- Following food safety and hygiene standards every step of the way
Who You Are:
You're not just great with coffee, you're great with people. You thrive in busy environments, keep your cool under pressure, and bring good energy to every shift.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has barista experience on a non automated espresso machine (or fast learner with solid coffee knowledge)
- Knows how to hustle when it’s busy, without cutting corners
- Can work independently and manage a bar station confidently
- Is reliable, communicative, and a natural team player
- Brings a great attitude, a love for hospitality, and a willingness to grow
- Is available for a mix of daytime and weekend shifts
- Is over the age of 19
We’re looking for someone with a flexible schedule who’s eager to learn. The initial focus will be on mastering our ice cream program, with the intention of expanding into a full-time barista role (7:30am - 3:30pm) once our coffee program launches.
Must also have the following
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 40lbs without assistance
- Possess or obtain Foodsafe Certification
