Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team at ServiceOntario in Kingston, which is operated by a private service provider. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in retail management. This role requires effective communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. As a Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while driving and maintaining inventory control.
Duties
- Lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and maintain high standards of customer service.
- Conduct employee orientation and training sessions to enhance team performance.
- Manage scheduling, shift assignments, and payroll processes to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and organizing products.
- Implement effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent for the team.
- Handle cash management tasks including cash handling, cashiering duties, and financial reporting.
- Maintain store appearance by ensuring cleanliness, identify issues and develop strategies to address them.
- Foster a culture of teamwork through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Utilize retail math skills for budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales analysis.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop marketing initiatives that increase customer traffic into the the office.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a retail environment is essential.
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes and retail sales techniques.
- Bilingual or multilingual candidates are preferred to enhance customer interactions.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, organizational abilities, and leadership qualities.
- Previous experience in training & development of staff is highly desirable.
