We are seeking skilled Structural Fitters to join our team in Calgary for both our day shift and evening shift. The successful candidates will play an integral role in helping us achieve our vision and uphold our values. Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
- Evening Shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:30 pm to 1:00 am (evening shift includes a shift premium)
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding specifications
- Fitting metal components using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring it is in good working condition
- Ensuring the quality of welded parts meets the required standards
- Operating overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials
- Adhering to all safety regulations and safe welding practices
- Communicating with the fabrication and production departments to plan and coordinate welding projects
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
- Knowledge of welding processes such as GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
