As a Storesworker, you will provide supplies and services to customers and track and maintain inventory. Primary duties for this position include:
- Provide in-stock supplies to internal/external customers by processing requisitions and work orders.
- Use a radio frequency (RF) scanner and inventory management system to process transactions and maintain inventory.
- Receive new inventory, reconcile information and provide quality assurance for all inbound material.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting inventory and reconciling discrepancies.
- Perform other duties such as picking up and delivering supplies, housekeeping and support services for emergency situations.
- Ad-hoc purchasing for non-stock items for specific customer groups with purchase order (PO) creation or credit card.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g. GED) and at least 2 years of directly related Warehouse Supply Chain experience is required.
- A valid Class 5 Full Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than 6 demerits and no current suspensions or charges pending.
- Must be able to obtain a Class 3 Driver's License or provincial equivalent with Q endorsement.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Teams, and PeopleSoft FSCM will be considered an asset.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and safety training (Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Data Management systems, Workplace Hazardous Materials) will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with various material handling equipment and tools will also be considered an asset.
- A high level of initiative to work independently as needed, proficient ability to manage business records, and strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions: The ability to lift up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs) on a regular basis is required. This position involves long periods of standing, walking, climbing ladders, as well as being around material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, carts, ladders). You will also periodically work outdoors in all weather conditions and in traffic delivering supplies.
