We are seeking and experienced Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to join our team.
Job Description
This role will serve as the single point of contact for assigned high-level tiered State Funded clients. The right candidate is responsible for all phases of state funded workers’ compensation, which requires a focus on risk management and exceptional customer service.
This role will serve as the single point of contact for assigned high-level tiered State Funded clients. The right candidate is responsible for all phases of state funded workers’ compensation, which requires a focus on risk management and exceptional customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
- Proactively work a caseload of high-level tiered clients by managing all active claims
- and implementing strategies for return-to-work to overall assist in reducing claims
- costs that impact a client’s experience modification e.g. handicap reimbursements,
- lump sum settlement, fraud recognition, etc.
- Provide consultative assistance to clients regarding all BWC employer discount
- programs e.g. Group Rating, Self-insurance, Retrospective Rating, etc.
- Effectively communicate all claim-related info including claims management reports
- to clients e.g. claims cost, employer rate projection, claims loss runs, etc.
- Develop action plans that utilize best practice strategies to improve return to work and cost
- controls
- Coordinate referrals to partner entities for investigations, vocational rehab, and other cost containment
- services
- Monitoring and reviewing medical records and treatment requests for appropriateness
- Be the one point of contact for all workers’ compensation inquiries for your dedicated
- accounts
- Frequent client meetings with different parties/vendors
- Other duties as needed
Skills & Abilities
- 2+ years of workers’ comp claims or related experience including MCO exposure
- Positive attitude and team player mentality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- General computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word & Excel
