Starbucks Daily Operator (Supervisor)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daily Operator (Supervisor) to join our team. As a Daily Operator, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. You will be responsible for greeting and serving guests according to established recipes and standards, maintain cleanliness of the outlet throughout your shift, and accurately total, process and collect payment utilizing the POS system.

The Daily Operator will assume duties of the Manager when they are unavailable. Some of these duties include resolving customer inquiries/concerns in a prompt and professional manner, executing higher functions on the POS system, inventory management and ordering, training new Barista's and running shift blocks to applicable standards. The Daily Operator is also responsible for any other duties assigned by the Manager.

Responsibilities

• Effectively run shifts by assessing store demands and staffing levels, making note of when to adjust the staff to better serve our customers
• Assess the cleanliness and maintenance of store stations and Barista routines to ensure adherence to standards
• Training of new Baristas following digital and activity based programs
• Manage inventory levels by restocking supplies and taking note of inventory levels while monitoring daily pars
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system at the highest level for order processing and cash handling
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas
• Assist with food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety guidelines.

Experience

• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Previous Barista experience is highly recommended
• Previous experience cash handling and order processing are essential
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Superb guest service skills and communication, maintaining professionalism at all times
• A strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment will contribute to your success in this role.
• Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is an asset.
• Must be available to work a variety of all shifts (days, evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call)
• Must be able to stand and walk to extent periods of time
