Job Description
Eggs & Co. Canada LTD, a growing family-style restaurant and sports bar in Sedgewick, Alberta, is hiring a full-time Sports Bar & Restaurant/Food Service Supervisor to support the restaurant manager in daily operations. The successful candidate will oversee service staff, coordinate food prep and service, and ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer care.
Responsibilities
As outlined under NOC 62020, duties include:
- Supervise and coordinate activities of servers, kitchen helpers, and front-of-house staff
- Monitor quality of food and service, ensuring compliance with company standards
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations are followed
- Train and coach new staff on policies, procedures, and customer service expectations
- Prepare staff schedules and assign duties to maintain smooth workflow
- Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and order supplies as needed
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and daily reports
- Support the manager with implementing promotions, events, and special service requests
Requirements
Education:
- Completion of secondary school is required
- Post-secondary education in hospitality or food service is an asset
Experience:
- At least 1 year of related work experience in a food service setting, preferably with supervisory duties
Language:
- English, fluent in oral and written communication. Conversational Tagalog is an advantage
Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking ability
- Team-oriented and customer-focused
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of WHMIS, food handling regulations, and basic POS systems
