Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of sod.
- Safely operate farm equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and loaders.
- Perform irrigation duties to ensure proper water supply.
- Load customer's orders for assigned pickups.
- General farm maintenance activities & landscaping.
- Lift up to 50lbs for heavy materials as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Reliable transportation to work is a must (no nearby bus routes).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Basic understanding of farm equipment. Experience with farm machinery including forklift operating is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
At Western Turf Farms, we foster a dynamic, team-oriented atmosphere where we all thrive together. We provide training on forklift operation and use of other farm machinery, but previous experience with sod or general labour is an asset!
